A WBA board member, Jose Emilio Graglia of Cordoba, Argentina, has judged four fights, all in his native land, one each in 2010 and 2012, and two this February 10, in which Caril Herrera beat Diego Herminio Alejandro Sananco by split decision and Elio Mamondes defeated Milton Fernando Ferreira by unanimous decision. In addition, he’s acted as supervisor in 74 bouts over the course of 22 years, from 1993 to 2015, most recently last December 17, when Bryan De Gracia successfully defended his WBA Fedecaribe featherweight title by beating Alejandro Palmero via unanimous decision in Panama City. An inspector in 82 fights from 2005 to the present, he was most recently involved in the Elio Mamondes-Lucas Pereyra bout this March 18, Mamondes winning by unanimous decision in Cordoba.

Takeshi Shimakawa of Japan has reffed 61 bouts over the course of 37 years, from 1978 to December 31 of last year, when Katsunari Takayama lost his IBF World minimumweight title to Jose Argumedo by technical decision in the ninth in Osaka. He’s also acted as a judge in 149 bouts, dating back to 1961, including the December 31, 2013, fight between Takashi Uchiyama and Daiki Kaneko, in which Uchiyama successfully defended his WBA World super featherweight title, winning by unanimous decision in Tokyo. The following year, on May 31, he judged the WBA World featherweight championship match between Nicholas Walters and Vic Darchinyan, Walters keeping his crown by fifth-round KO in Macao. Shimakawa most recently officiated at a fight that took place yesterday in Gwangmyeong, South Korea, in which Hyun-Mi Choi successfully defended her WBA World female super featherweight title by beating Diana Ayala via unanimous decision.
