With the firm intention of giving a great show this Saturday in the main fight of the night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is 147-lbs welterweight champion of the World Boxing Association, Keith Thurman, will defend his Crown against Robert Guerrero.

They both scored 147 pounds in the weigh-in held this Friday evening in Las Vegas.

The champion said he expected a strong confrontation bout where he will draw the best part. Thurman (24-0, 21 KO) relies on his power to win the fight and he is convinced that Guerrero has never faced a welterweight with a real punch power.

The champion confessed, this week, to the American press that Guerrero must come out to get him “to show that he is not afraid and that he can execute his plan”, and that he is ready to make the adjustments needed and “show him that I can do what I want”.

His plan will be attacking Guerrero during the first six rounds, wear him down and make him do wrong. “But those six rounds I will be there with him, face to face, hitting him. Giving a great show”, but explains that in case it does not happen then he will box him.

Guerrero said that Thurman talks too much, and he even thinks in a possible bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr, “but we must see what he has in front of him at the moment. “Overlook a fighter like me, is a kind of slap in the face”.

The judges of the fight will be Adelaide Bird, Dave Moretti and Jerry Royth. Referee Kenny Bayles and WBA supervisor will be its Vice President, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza.
