“I've always fought and I’ve always won in the end,” said Kentikian. “God has determined my path.”
“I now take everything into my own hands,” Susi told Boxen1. “But as a woman it is not easy. The boxing business is fierce.”

On Friday, October 2, at Inselparkhalle in Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg, Germany, WBA World female flyweight champion Susi “Killer Queen” Kentikian (34-2, 17 KOs), from Hamburg, Germany, by way of Yerevan, Armenia, will make the fourth defense of her title against  Susana “Pantera” Perez (17-6, 8 KOs), from Tlalnepantla, Mexico.

The WIBF and GBU World Championship flyweight belts will also be at stake.

Twenty-eight-year-old Kentikian started boxing at the age of 12. A decorated amateur, she turned pro in 2005 when she was 17. With the exception of one no contest, she won her first 27 fights in a row. “Killer Queen” first won the WBA World flyweight title in 2011 with a unanimous decision victory over Teeraporn Pannimit, but lost the title to Carina Moreno by split decision the following year Two months later she won the interim WBA World female flyweight title with a UD over Sanae Jah. Kentikian regained the WBA World female flyweight title in July 2013 with a victory over Carina Moreno, the same Carina Moreno who defeated her 14 months earlier.

Perez, 25, turned pro in 2009 at the age of 19 with a KO victory over Susana Dorantes at Auditorio Municipal in Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, Mexico. “Pantera” fought for a title in just her fifth fight. Perez currently holds the World Boxing Federation female minimumweight title she won by defeating Anne Sophia Da Costa (18-0 coming in) in Riems, France, by split decision in her last fight.

The WBA championship will be promoted by the recently formed Kentikian Promotions.

“I now take everything into my own hands,” Susi told Boxen1. “But as a woman it is not easy. The boxing business is fierce. But I’ve always fought and I’ve always won in the end. God has determined my path and I plan to go further than ever before.”

Susi Kentikian vs. Susana Perez will be televised live on Germany on Sport 1.
