Thai boxer Knockout CP Freshmart lived up to his ring name on Thursday, stopping Alexis Diaz in four rounds in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Freshmart, whose birth name is Thammanoon Niyomtrong, swarmed the previously unbeaten Venezuelan Diaz (16-1, 10 knockouts), scoring a knockdown on a right-hand body shot in Round 3 before a swarming assault forced Diaz to take a knee the following round, leading to the referee’s stoppage.

Freshmart, 24, is rated No. 5 by THE RING at 105 pounds and had scored victories over world-rated contenders Carlos Buitrago and Muhammad Rachman in his most recent fights.

His interim WBA strawweight title makes him the logical next challenger for WBA titleholder Hekkie Budler (28-1, 9 KOs) of South Africa, who is scheduled to face compatriot Simphiwe Khonco on Sept. 19.
